Authentic Boerboels
Authentic Boerboels LLC is a Boerboel breeder in Huntington, West Virginia, operated by Brandon Thomas, the sole member of the West Virginia LLC; the LLC was registered in January 2022 and is currently listed by the state as not in compliance for an unfiled annual report. The kennel has maintained an active social-media presence since 2020 across Facebook, Instagram (about 30,000 followers), TikTok (about 55,000 followers), and YouTube, advertising NABBA/NABBR-registered puppies in blue, fawn, black, and red and selling directly rather than through a website or marketplace. Its own posts show a multi-female operation, with at least six breeding females and several litters over the past two years, puppies sired by outside studs from other kennels, and puppies shipped sight-unseen to out-of-state buyers. The kennel states a NABBA breeder number (#20133593) and that all of its dogs are NABBA registered, but this cannot be independently confirmed: NABBA was dissolved and its records moved to the North American Boerboel Breeders Registry in 2024, neither organization offers a public registry lookup, and the kennel is not on the American Boerboel Club approved-breeder list (a separate organization). No health-testing results were located for its dogs, and none of its dogs appear in the OFA health-testing database. The kennel has little independent third-party coverage.
