How we research a kennel
We compile each listing from public sources — the kennel's own website and social channels, breed registries, public records, news, and third-party reviews. We distinguish self-reported information from independently verified facts, and we say which is which in the listing.
Our sourcing rules
- Every factual claim is cited. If we can't source it, we don't publish it.
- No marketing language. We avoid promotional adjectives and stick to what the evidence supports.
- Public-record entries require an independent source. Most kennels have no public record — that is normal and is not a negative signal.
- Health-testing data is drawn from public registries such as the OFA where available. Browse it on our health testing page.
Keeping listings current
We periodically re-check kennel contact details and social links, and we flag kennels that appear inactive. Each kennel page shows when its information was last reviewed and when its links were last checked.
Reviews
Buyer reviews are submitted by registered users and reflect their own experiences, not the views of Boerboel Directory. We moderate for abuse and spam but do not edit the substance of a review.
Corrections & removals
Are you a breeder who needs a listing corrected, or do you want to report an error? Email [email protected] and we'll review and update on your behalf. The same address can be used to request removal of copyright, trademark, or other material within a listing.
