Fuller Boerboels
Fuller Boerboels is a small, long-running South African Boerboel program run by Dan and Jennifer Fuller in Bonners Ferry, Idaho (Boundary County); the couple relocated from California in September 2016 after more than two decades there and have kept Boerboels since acquiring their first in 2008, with their foundation pair America Johari and Sullivan Rafiki Zuri "Nzuri" producing the kennel's first litter in November 2011. The kennel registers its dogs with SABBS (formerly SABT) and the AKC, and the Fullers state they deliberately avoid "big names, popular sires and high score seekers," prioritizing temperament, structure and completed health screening over show prestige. Independent health-testing records support those claims: several FULLER'S-prefixed dogs carry Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) evaluations, including hip and advanced-cardiac results recorded in 2019 and 2020 (for example FULLER'S MISS V MELOKUHLE, OFA advanced cardiac and hips, 2020). Jennifer Fuller has also titled dogs through AKC companion events (Canine Good Citizen and Rally) and certified five as Therapy Dogs International therapy dogs, and the kennel was the subject of a 2017 Bonners Ferry local-news feature. No complaints, lawsuits, animal-welfare actions or other adverse public records naming Fuller Boerboels, Dan Fuller or Jennifer Fuller were found; the kennel is not currently on the American Boerboel Club approved-breeder list, a separate voluntary listing rather than a registry requirement. The Fullers describe themselves as winding down their breeding season, and the most recent verifiable dated content on the kennel site is a litter born in September 2021, with the site anticipating a possible litter in summer 2026, so no confirmed public Boerboel activity has been observed since 2021.
