BoneBluff Boerboels
BoneBluff Boerboels is a South African Boerboel kennel based at 1916 Woodville Hwy, Crawfordville, FL (Wakulla County) [^1][^2]. Public-facing channels market the kennel as a SABBS member (#0699080) and NABBA member (#20133349); Sean Crawford is publicly identified as the kennel's operator via the World Boerboel Breeders Association's November 2024 Official Notice [^3][^4]. Bonebluff posts also identify Rebecca L. ("Becky") Crawford as the sole listed manager of the corresponding Florida LLC and John Crawford as a puppy co-owner participating in the breeding program [^1][^11]. The kennel has no standalone website; bonebluffboerboels.com and bonebluff.com are unregistered domains with zero Wayback snapshots — all operator presence is on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube [^12]. The corresponding Florida LLC, BONEBLUFF BOERBOELS LLC (Sunbiz #L22000002852, filed 23 December 2021), has been in INACTIVE status since 23 September 2022 under "Admin Dissolution for Annual Report" and no annual reports have been filed since incorporation [^1][^2]. Bonebluff was a member of the World Boerboel Breeders Association from 1 September 2022 through 31 August 2024 and produced WBBA-registered litters during that period — including Bonebluff Roxanne / "Roxy" (WBBA #58812, DOB 14 May 2021), who carries an OFA Excellent hips and OFA Negative elbows result and a NABBR appraisal of 93.0% per Guardian Boerboels, her current owner [^5]. On 4 November 2024 WBBA published a public Official Notice stating that Bonebluff Boerboels and Sean Crawford "will not be allowed to re-join WBBA due to his conduct in his lack of animal welfare," after October 2024 reports described dogs at the facility as in "extremely bad condition, starved and emaciated"; WBBA noted that a formal complaint had been submitted and remained under investigation [^4]. Beyond the publicly-marketed Boerboel program, Bonebluff's own posts surface two further sub-programs not disclosed in the kennel's main bio: a mini-boerboel co-marketed line with Allen's Virginia Boerboels (hashtag #bonebluffminiboerboels, with a litter announcement crediting Allen's Va Crash × Allen's Va Eloise) and an American Bully program (hashtag #bonebluffbullyfarm, with stock from Absurd Bullies and the dog "Mandown 20/20 Vision") [^9][^13]. "Mini boerboel" is not a SABBS- or WBBA-recognised variety; it typically denotes a Boerboel-cross with a smaller breed. The kennel's Instagram account (@bonebluff, 815 followers, 950 posts) has not posted since 23 September 2024 — going silent approximately six weeks before WBBA's 4 November 2024 notice and remaining inactive through April 2026; the YouTube channel (124 subscribers, 30 claimed videos but only 4 publicly visible) and Facebook page (~18,000 followers) are similarly dormant on new uploads [^6][^7][^8]. Neither the WBBA ban nor either of the undisclosed sub-programs is acknowledged in the kennel's primary bio, which still lists SABBS and NABBA membership numbers as if current. Bonebluff has placed producing-stock dogs at multiple partner kennels in California, Washington, and elsewhere, and the bloodline has continued to produce litters via those partner kennels after the WBBA ban. Bonebluff Roxanne is now at Guardian Boerboels (WA), where a Bonebluff Roxanne × Guardian Brutus ("Double Stuff") litter is current; Bonebluff Princess Rhaenyra is being bred at Gold Coast Boerboels (CA) in a 21 February 2026 collab with Pacific Coast Boerboels (CA) using Clover K Kilo as sire — approximately fifteen months after the WBBA ban [^14][^15]. Several Bonebluff-bred or Bonebluff-placed dogs have per-dog NABBR / SABBS appraisals announced by third-party owners — Bonebluff Vader (sire Elite Guard Casanova "Jake" NABBR 88.5; dam Barbarian Tanka SABBS 82 / NABBR 92.7), Bonebluff Princess Raya (sire Guardian The Inferno Zeus NABBR 89.8; dam Guardian Princess Alexia NABBR 95.7), and Bodington Toto (SABBS 85.4) — providing per-dog appraisal evidence even though the kennel itself does not publish a litter-by-litter health-testing register on its own channels [^16][^17]. In April 2026 a Boerboel Breakdown Facebook discussion group post by Frank Bobko publicly named "Bonebluff in FL" as the source of his dog Baldur, an 18-month-old Boerboel he was preparing to euthanize for hip dysplasia confirmed by OFA testing at nine months. Bobko states he was unaware at the time of purchase of the WBBA action that followed in November 2024, and described BoneBluff as "a careless breeder who was run out business by the breeders association"; the post and its follow-up received 229 and 91 reactions respectively, making it high-visibility within the breed community [^18]. This is the first independently-named, third-party buyer complaint surfaced for the kennel. Buyers considering this kennel should request, in writing and with supporting documents: (a) confirmation of current registry membership in good standing (WBBA membership is permanently terminated as of 31 August 2024 per the November 2024 Official Notice; the SABBS and NABBA numbers in the kennel's bio have not been independently verified by the directory); (b) current OFA / PennHIP / SABBS-appraisal results for both sire and dam of any litter under consideration, including the same OFA hip evaluation that Frank Bobko's reported case turned on; (c) explicit disclosure of which program the litter belongs to (Boerboel, mini-boerboel, or bully); (d) a written health guarantee and sample purchase contract; and (e) the opportunity to view the dam, sire, and current housing conditions in person before any deposit changes hands.
